Over the last few weeks I’ve enjoyed creating a few simple videos of my adventures – both walking and kayaking – and some family moments, and posting them up on YouTube. I still have a very old GoPro that I took to Skye more than a decade ago, but having read up a little on what the new versions can do, found myself the owner of a Hero11 and a couple of choice accessories.

Apart from its inability to handle any kind of wind noise, I find the GoPro does a great job in being small, light and robust, while providing great picture quality.
But why don’t you decide? Here’s a recent video of me and my buddy Martin heading out for a wild camp in the Galty Mountains. It was a great trip – the moonrise was a memorable highlight – I hope the video gives a flavour of it.
