The story of the demise of the Bowstring bridge is a pretty sad one. These arches are the last remaining evidence of the once mighty structure.
In February, I took my FujiFilm GW690II out for an all too rare outing to photograph what was left and while they were still standing, it felt that they may only had a limited stay of execution. That said, they have survived longer than the arches at the other end of the bridge.
These were shot on Velvia 100 before being processed and scanned by AG Photographic. They look a little over-sharpened for my tastes, but the usual magic has happened, particularly in the blues. I need to use that camera more often…
