You might have spotted if you’re a regular follower that I had a false start with the second week on the FP4+Party. I shot a mystery roll from the fridge, thinking it was FP4+, only to find that it was HP5+ when I got to the end of the roll. That meant quickly snapping 36 exposures as I walked along Holkham beach last weekend.
As a result, there’s nothing too exciting here, and the results are strangely grainy for such a slow film. It may have been my tight-fisted approach to chemical use that means that I try to get too many rolls through the same mixture and led to having to fix the subsequent roll twice.
For the most part, I prefer the look of the colour pictures taken on the same day, although the beach huts above and the brooding clouds do lend themselves to a monochrome film. Anyway, here they are…
Gubbins:
Leica M6, 35mm Summicron-M ASPH, Ilford FP4+, Ilfotec HC for 8:00 in the garage, scanned at home.
Great photos of one of my all time favourite places. My parents are luvky enough to live in Norfolk so the area is really special to me.
